Dear Consul General,
We are former Vietnamese immigrants currently residing in many parts of The United States / Canada who represent the Republic of Vietnam Veterans and Friends. During the “Boat People” era, the Philippine government and people provided us refugees help with temporary housing along with basic needs before we immigrated to a third country. Our gratitude to them will never be forgotten.
We have been deeply touched by Hurricane Haiyan and would like to express our sympathy to all the victims and families. Along with other Vietnamese communities, a donation was organized to help all those affected in this unfortunate disaster.
Please accept this small contribution as we did our best with our hearts.

Consul General Jesda Katavetin of Thailand, called on Consul General Ma. Hellen Barber De La Vega to present a check donation for Typhoon Haiyan Relief thru the American Red Cross for $ 20,506.00.
ReplyDeleteThis is the result of the efforts to raise funds by the Thai Community at the Thai temple in North Hollywood. Consul General Katavetin and Mr. Thoongsuwan expressed their messages of support and sympathy for those affected by the Typhoon in the Philippines. Consul General Barber De La Vega conveyed appreciation for the donation and overflowing support from the ASEAN community, including Thailand.
